Good players never make good managers, look at all the ones who have failed like Hoddle, Keane, Sheringham, Waddle, Dalglish to name a few.

Were these failures as well? Arsene Wenger, Alex Ferguson, Brian Clough, Martin O'Neill, Bill Shankley to name a few.

Most of them started smaller and then took on a big club

I think all of these players looking at going into management should start at non league or lower league level learning how to manage a side then try to manage a big club
