Wish some would read the articles fully before making flippant comments.

Exemption through section 166 is already applied by many licensing authorities.

Regarding the comments what the NTA are doing about any subject,it would be nice to know how many people using this forum are members of the NATIONAL TAXI ASSOCIATION ?

Why would it be interesting?

Do you want to know about Union Memberships and which Unions?

Do we need to tell all about Political Party affiliation?

What else would satisfy your curiosity?

But I am not shy, I am in the NTA, the Unions being a total waste of time.

It is of interest for one reason,lots of comments are of a negative nature but are those who make the comments doing anything to try and protect the trades interests or are they of the ilk let the NTA do something about it and we will get the benefit free of charge.

As has been mentioned before it does not cost a fortune to be a member of the NTA compared to union subs costs.

Exemption is applied in LA's, I agree, it happens in Plymouth.

But as far as I am aware the EA 2010 sec 166 is not quoted.

If you can show me a LA that use the exact legislation when granting these exemptions I would appreciate it.

By the way I read and re-read the articles and I am definitely not being flippant.

My copy of the 2010 says all three are not in force.

I will delete it and download it again when 165 and 167 are in force.
