Boy, 17, charged after Corby taxi driver assaulted


A 17-year-old boy has been charged after a taxi driver was assaulted in Corby.

The incident took place at the taxi rank in George Street between 6.45am and 7.05am on Saturday (May 7).

A taxi driver was at the rank when he was threatened and dragged from the taxi.

The victim managed to get away from the offender and wasn’t injured in the incident.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has now been charged with the offence.

Police are still appealing for witnesses in connection with this incident and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.

Witnesses or anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Corby has always been a dangerous place to drive a cab although there haven't been any murders recently

17 year old ffs :lol: seems to me some of these taxi drivers should take up boxing :lol:
