lots of apps for checking flights, what do you rate as the best.

flight status, landed , baggage etc.

amazon have just credited me £10 in the app store so thought id see what anyone has paid for and works.

I just look up the arrivals board for the airport in question. I use flightradar24 for tracking flights.

I'm thinking of developing a £10 app that will take you directly to Google without typing "Google"
Think of the time it'll save and the money I could make

at the moment i use the Heathrow app and then google for Luton, Stansted and Gatwick.

live updates arent great, and with some allowing you to pay for extra info such as baggage or reclaim clear, I wondered if there was an app to cover .

like i said ive a tenner been credited for free and didnt want it to go to waste whilst maybe getting an app that worked.

will try flightradar next

The most accurate one is flightradar. It can only tell you when it's landed and doesn't give out baggage details.

You are just itching to spend the tenner. I can't see why you need to pay for info that is free with each airport telling you live flight info.

I would have some angry drivers if I relied on google.
Often with google it will give you an eta and tell you a plane has departed when the plane is still on the ground.
London city airport, Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stansted's arrival information can never be totaly trusted with unreliable and wrong information usually worse on the shorter flights.
Some of the airlines have their own flight checkers with British Airways being one of the best but no one system is 100 % reliable and it makes me wonder about the level of care and attention people on this forum take on a reliance on Google.
Flightradar24 is an excellent app but still I always like to use more than one source of information.

I'll go along with that.

I was baby sitting a new company in Scotland last week and could see an Edinburgh airport job that was well past its dispatch time.
The base staff were checking using Google from their mobiles and showed the flight as being still on its way but I then showed them how to check via the PC (a direct link to Edinburgh flight arrivals) and the plane had landed 15 mins ago.

Don't rely on Google for flight times!

Bill :)

If I was a driver I would never rely on the base.
If I was given a job from BHX for a flight from Dublin, I would check flightradar24 and Dublin departures as well as BHX arrivals.
And this comes from someone who is meticulous in getting it right for drivers.

Me to..you can even view the planes live flight path right until it lands. A couple of quid well spent and it saves a fortune on needless airport parking costs.
