that's just ridiculous tbh

Why is it? Last year me and a few others did a walk with a blind lad who goes to Mansfield Town to support the football club, (see what I did there)? It was from one of the pubs in town to the football club. Half of us were blindfolded half the way then we swapped over to let the other half be blindfolded. I'll tell you something now it was a very daunting experience.

well i don't doubt for a second the being blind is daunting mate, although i don't think your post has anything to do with this thread though, don't think many taxi drivers will walk someone from a pub to a footie game  , its about blind people with dogs getting a taxi, we have to take them like it or not ( tbh , not to bothered in this car, in the front footwell or walking though ) , i don't care about the disabled etc as they no bearing on my life at all, if they want a taxi & have any disability , well to me they are just like a normal punter , just more awkward & expect you to crawl up there ar$e, yet bang on about being treated equally , sorry, normal able bodied punters don't expect you to crawl & don't get extra money every month for transport ( & that's why it should be tariff 2 at all times imho, im sure i posted on here when the ph firm i worked for said all equal fares, they all handed there hire wav cars in & went saloon, that's how i got my plate, the council had loads , no one wanted them  ) , they should make there mind up instead of bleating on about how they are always victimised because of there disability , taxi drivers ( well around newcastle anyway) don't need any training whatsoever, like i said, they couldn't care less about these people, pick up/pay/drop/ forget/ like i say , just more awkward, although i did find after chatting to the lads on the rank that the ones with pull out ramps ( vito/scudo/8 seaters etc) didn't seem to mind, the ones with telescopics like me avoid them like the plague , just working for nothing , just my opinion though, nowts a bother
