So there you are proof that taxis have been doing parcels for donkeys years.

Another thing that just popped into my head is a regular kind of job we have at supermarkets.

A fella or a girl comes out with a trolley load of stuff, helps you load it and then gets on their motorbike and you follow them home with their shopping.

And another job our firm has is picking up empty (of punters) mobility scooters from Shop Mobility, who's battery has gone flat.

Usually the punters get the bus or a cab back and leave the scooter for one of our WAVs to return it.

Not entirely, but the payment can only be 5 pence in the pound of the value up to a maximum of £5.00 or we can take the items to the nearest police station.
I did question if this breached their policy but was informed that lost property is not the same.

The one thing that comes out of this is if I pick a passenger up from Manchester and he's has a parcel, let's say a very valuable vase inside worth thousands,and we have an accident, who pays for the broken vase ? I'm not interested in comments well he shouldn't have been in a taxi with something so valuable.
Taxis have been carrying parcels for donkeys years, so is it insured, and I know I can get GIT, but why is it not included on standard insurance? Or is it?
