Man dragged from minicab by two men and shot before pair robbed the taxi driver at gunpoint

CCTV released of two men in balaclavas caught on camera in area right after vicious late-night attack Haringey in London

This shocking CCTV has been released by police after a 35-year-old man was dragged from a taxi by two men and shot.

Police were called to Haringey in London at around 11.30pm on Saturday to reports of a shooting in Champa Close.

Armed officers arrive but found no-one at the scene.

Detectives believe that the victim, who was being driven in a mini-cab, was dragged out of the car and shot.

Two men then robbed the cab driver at gunpoint, according to police, before running off towards Bruce Grove station.

Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command at the Met have released this CCTV in a bid to track down two men they wish to speak to in connection with the shooting.

The men police are describing as suspects are both wearing balaclavas.

One is a white or Mediterranean-looking man wearing a black winter coat and trainers.

The other is black and wearing dark clothing.

Detective Constable Neil Webb said: "This was a deliberate attempt to injure or kill and these are clearly very dangerous men.

"I would appeal to the public to help police bring them to justice.

"I want to assure the public that any information will be treated in complete confidence."

Anyone with information should contact Trident detectives on 020 8358 0608.
