Woman hospitalised after falling onto taxiA WOMAN was hospitalised after falling onto a vehicle on a busy Aberystwyth street yesterday.
Paramedics responded at just after 2pm on Thursday, 28 July, after reports of a woman who had fallen in the road outside the Central Fish Restaurant, Chalybeate Street, where works are being carried out to widen the pavement ahead of the completion of the Mill Street development.
An ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at just after 2pm today to reports of an incident on Chalybeate Street.
“We responded with an emergency ambulance and a female adult was conveyed to Bronglais Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
Police say they also attended the scene and confirmed the woman had fallen onto a taxi.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were made aware by the Ambulance service of an incident in Chalybeate Street, Aberystwyth at approximately 2.12pm on Thursday, 28 July, whereby a woman had fallen onto a taxi.
“Ambulance attended the scene, but there was no requirement for officers to attend or further police action needed.”
