The Truvelo's can flash oncoming traffic as they use a magenta flash whereas Gatso's in my experience use a white flash which could dazzle the driver if forward facing.

The Truvelo camera that got me a few years back was from the front and it was a white flash. The picture of me was of a very good quality as well. You could see the surprise on my face.

Gatsos deffo flash when being driven towards at speed....Ive seen it many times, not me though, im a good little driver, but the boy racer types love to set the flash off.
