Talking of PCN's I've just had a County Court letter from Northampton County Court allegedly submitted by Excel Parking. It's a good fake if you don't know what your looking for. It comes on white paper with a photocopied court stamp, on the left hand side it says, "do not pay the court a judgement may be entered against you." It also says underneath to pay Excel Parking only address added.

Real County Court letters come on pink paper and with a real court stamp not a photocopied one.

If I were you I would take that letter to the nearest County Court and ask them to veryfy that it is genuine. I am sure that if it isn't genuine they would be very interested indeed.

Excel/BWLegal are issuing claims by the lorry load at the moment. Phone the court just to make sure. You don't want a default judgement entered against you for something which is easily defeated with the right approach and preparation.

You missed my point. The County Court would not take kindly to being shown a forgery. They would take action against the issuer faster than anyone else.

What are they issuing claims for? No monies have changed hands so there's no case. All fines without conviction are null and void under the English bill of rights 1688.
