off the back of that other thread about a dress code for drivers in Scarborough, what do you wear to graft? tbh there are some fooking right tramps on my rank & it aint expensive to dress casual/tidy tbh , for me:

if its warm/hot, adidas joggers/adidas samba trainers/nike/adidas polo, job done

if cold , levis 501`s / black dm shoes/ nike / adidas/ boss polo/ cami knickers/Karrimor jacket

Shirt and black trousers always with me but not a tie funnily enough we've just had a drivers meeting and yet again the topic of drivers being scruffy was a heated debate

Continuously dressed neatly enough not be a humiliation to myself or the exchange on the off chance that I needed to stroll into say an in lobby. It's matter where I'm strolling for a/c to that my clothing regulation will change.

What reason is given for that, bearing in mind that a woman could wear them? I have never worn them myself but with a pair of decent socks and the right slacks/trousers, they can look quite smart.

They are classed as unsuitable and that includes for women drivers as well.

Ok - I am not trying to trip you up as I think I know as to what (they) are thinking about when (they) say sandals. Having said that sandals come in many different forms/designs and I think that women's sandals would be pretty hard to refuse - how would they be classified as "unsuitable"? It seems like some nonsense to me whereby nobody has queried it, as I ask - why would they be unsuitable!?
