they are a band that i will never ever understand all the fuss about , made 2 (?) albums, the first one was ...well ok for a poppy album, the second was chit, people bang on about them like they were some mega group not a good band at all, ian brown must hate you & your missus mate

aye , 2 albums according to wiki, i have no idea how they can do a gig with so little material tbh,( & like i say the second album was crap ) see em once then it ll be the same set list over & over

nice 1 mate, im sure he was a ok bloke , but sorry like the roses are a poor band imho, i suppose the longevity of the said band proves my point , 2 albums since 1989??

He is a nice bloke. The band split up in the mid 90's and only got back together a couple of years ago. In 2003 Ian was a solo artist with his own backing band on tour. We had great fun and I as treated like one of the band as were all the road crew. It was a brilliant time and I was getting paid £300 per day for the privilege.

Most of the time the Stone Roses were together they were in dispute with their record label, that's why they only released two albums.

like i say couple of good tunes on the first album, i just cant get my head around why everyone thinks they are one of the top bands in the world

Aren't you too old for bands such as The Stone Roses and other bands of that era?

Probably, but after spending 2 weeks on tour with Ian Brown I sort of got into the music.
