Brand new Auris hybrid £90 p/w, saving £50 a week in fuel = £40 extra to find.
Second hand 4 year old Mondeo £50 p/w, no fuel saving = £50 extra to find.

10 year old ex-taxi Mondeo value, maybe £300 or scrap.
10 year old hybrid ex-taxi value, £2-3k.

Fuel saving over 10 years, Mondeo £0, hybrid £25k. Cost of a new hybrid £22k.
