Taxi hijacked by two women after they assault driver near Wheatley


A pair of female passengers assaulted their taxi driver before hijacking his vehicle.

Police said the 34-year-old driver picked up the women at about 2.40am at the junction of Cuddesdon Road and Ladder Hill near Wheatley on Saturday, October 22.

The force did not release details about the offence until today.

The women then threatened and assaulted the driver before stealing his Toyota Prius hybrid and driving off towards Cuddesdon and Garsington.

The car was later found abandoned and damaged in Beech Road, Wheatley.

The victim was not injured but the women stole two mobile phones from his car.

One of the women was in her 20s with brown, shoulder length, straight hair and was wearing a hooded jacket and trousers.

The second was in her 40s and was wearing a jumper and jeans.

PC Christopher Gibson said: "I am encouraging anyone who has any information about this incident, who recognises the description of the two women, or has seen anyone acting suspiciously around the area to get in touch by calling the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number 101."

I bet if they catch them they will have no recollection of events and claim they drove off in the car because they were afraid the driver was going to rape them

think some drivers need to start going to the gym/boxing training ffs , its pathetic, 2 lasses ?? ffs i wouldn't even admit to that or call the police

some women are quite violent and if they were both carrying weapons maybe discretion is the better part of valour

there you go Ven armed with a kitchen knife !!! would you really take them on knowing potentially you could get stabbed to death ?
