One for the circuit drivers

We're throwing ideas around the office for what would make the perfect taxi company
From a drivers point of view.

Other than the silly and impractical stuff like free weigh ins etc what would you guys and girls
Like to see from your company?

Sensible and workable answers only please looking at real suggestions
That can be implemented

I am in charge of a circuit but also a driver I would say the number one for my drivers is equality with work shared out as fairly as practicable

Two levels of waiting time.

1, The normal one we all use for when stuck at lights and slow traffic etc.
2, £30+ an hour for when the customer wants to stop at the shop or any other time they think you're a chauffeur.

if the lads don't want to take a dog,/smelly scruff or whatever , let them refuse the job, no feeding, clean cars, drivers who can speak English, drivers who know ( basically ) where they are going

Fair and equal distribution of work.

Operator's that can spell.

A proper well funded system to get and keep good work.

Proper meter/running rates.

Two weeks holiday free office rent.

Sussex may be right on this, have been told that this happens to be the policy of many private hire operators.

15 years ago (on radios) i was told i had to pay the £40/week rent while away "we only have so many radio slots on the licence"

so i gave him the radio back

it was still there a week later

others argue "well our rent/rates and staff still need paying"

not my problem
