I have got my Taxi Test tomorrow @ 10.30am. 3 papers
1) Twenty Streets 1 point for each street pass mark 30
2) Twenty Places of Interest - Pass Mark 15
3) Five Routes - Pass Mark 3

Then I will come back and do
4) Twenty Highway Code - Pass Mark 15
5) Take the Taxi Inspector for a Drive

So hopefully I will be a Taxi Driver within the next few days. I have got my plate sorted all I need to do is pass the test. Keep you all posted.

Call that a test???

Then again its ten times more than you have to do to become a Minicab driver in London.

It goes something like, 'can you stand up?'

Here's your permit.

I could'nt possibly comment on that one Streetcar!
People may get the impression I hold a biased view on my 'scroat' carrying colleagues. :D

Yep, ca'nt say i've met many people who actually dream of becoming a cabbie.

I started the Knowledge on a mountain bike as a bit of an experiment, after a friend at work started in preperation for early retirement.

20 years down the line, I'm very grateful to my 'experiment'. :-k

I think?

This is all new to me, punters jump in the cab [places of interest] and ask about this and that, I don't know mate,I tell em, don't live here, haven't a clew, but the guided tour people go to training school to learn about the area.they know.

"Taking Taxi Inspector for a drive", wot happens here then, is he qualified to judge someone driving, have they been on a driver training course??, has he got the right to stop you driving, cos you in his mind you was going to fast or not quick enough.
