GMB & Trade Protest December 8th

On December 8th at 11.00 AM we are protesting in relation to English language testing as well as TFL’s unwillingness to listen to stake holders on a variety of matters including: Congestion, emissions, Vehicles, Using DVLA guidelines for driver fitness rather than adopting a internal set of guidelines based on a practical best practice. Driver number capping – and lobbying central government and many other concerns.

Drivers and Operators will be assembling at 11.00 AM at City Hall The Queen’s Walk, London SE1 2AA on December 8th.

Please attend.

130000 getting ripped off and abused by the Proprietors remember if they cannot pass the English test it proves they CHEATED THE TOP TEST so who needs them get the Driver numbers down to about 25/30000 and become a smallish semi skilled HIGH EARNING workforce

The main reason that drivers must be able to speak English is for the safety of the customer. If the driver is involved in an accident he needs to be able to communicate with the police, fire and ambulance services. Not being able to do so can cost lives; that is apart from the obvious of finding the correct destination.
