 Post subject: would you pay more ....

... to rent a newer car ?? ffs, one of my mates is paying £20 pw extra because he is in a 65 plate merc :lol: :lol: , yet another mate of mine is driving about in a shagged out Mondeo automatic with no radio,drinks the juice, should he not pay £20 less then ?? honestly i have never ever met a taxi firm owner who isn't a greedy fooker, they would take the skin off you're back if they could

I think you could do a good deal of private work with the brand new Merc.

how does that work then ?? he has a plotter like all the p/h vehicles on the firm?? just drive in to a zone & they are 1st /2nd car etc? :?

One firm A2B round here are charging £350 rental a week for a 65 plate Merc. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Most of the big Ph operators around here with the exception of school runs will not allow there drivers to take work independently as they believe they would poach their customers, one of my colleagues got caught out agreeing to take someone to the airport privately but the muppet was late for the early morning pickup and the customer couldn't get hold of him so rang the office and of course the office had no record of the booking which led to him parting company with the company forthwith #-o #-o #-o #-o

Was that a hackney or a PH?


Was a Ph driver without his own op licence so was in the wrong there of course but even if he had his own op license or been a hack he would have been shown the door just the same.
