This is getting ridiculous. In the last hour I have answered 27 calls. 20 of them wanting a taxi for "now". This is a small town. How can so many people want a taxi on a Wednesday teatime?

Because no one else is working.

I only had one driver working and he was on an out of town job.

We only had one complaint about the double fare on Christmas day. It was from a chap who booked a taxi at 22.45 to go less than half a mile and thought that because it was before 23.00 it would be ordinary fare. Again, a first time customer (and probably last time as well).

When you book a taxi around our neck of the woods, they make a point of telling you beforehand if there is an uplift in the tariff.

Our council only had one overcharging complaint this Xmas.

And that was from a punter using a non B&H cab. #-o
