Nasty abusive customers? No thanks, we've got to leave some trade for Ollie and his friends. :)

All I ever seem to hear from the likes of the LTDA is that their isn't any SUD.

It appears that there is now, nasty SUD. :D

Maybe we should lift our numbers control?

I think part of the problem is those temporary licenses.

Letting an unchecked driver drive a licensed vehicle is just plain crazy, and the PCO, and for that matter the PH firms that asked for it, should hang their heads in shame.

What was said 18 months ago is as valid today. http://www.taxi-driver.co.uk/crb.htm

However, the PCO has previously said it will decide on a case-by-case basis whether a conviction is spent or will prevent someone from receiving a licence.

That's what the law states, so don't blame the licensed London PH trade for poor law.

But it's far easier for you fat lumps to sit on your butts and moan about LPH, then sit up and fight the powers that be.

Ollie
well said mate i told u that miniscab drivers had no brains oh and overcharge and go the longway around oh and their cars are falling apart ban dont licence

No need for us to moan.

Your side of the trade shows themselves up so often, we don't have to decry you any more.

Which side of the trade got itself in the news following the bombings of 7/7 for charging £100 (yes one hundred) a drop off?

Oh yes take a bow 'Andys Licensed minicabs' of Hammersmith.

Tossers.

Perhaps you should take a drive along St Annes Road in Harringey and have a look at your fellow 'LPH' collection of crap cars that purport to be Minicabs. (Nice N reg Peugeot Hatch, quality.)

Or have a poodle past the offices of Bee Gee's cars in Castlehaven Road NW5, they have a nice M registered Astra Estate at the moment, which has more dents in it than your wallet after your boss has finished with it.

Happy to be legit? Sure you are, with a start up cost of £500.

Aren't you one of the 'it's the condition that counts, not the age' brigade GBC?

Or did you change your mind when you upgraded from your 15-year-old mobile?

If you read the post you'll find I still support the above.

You see Dusty, ours are taken of the road for any 'appearance' defects by way of a Stop note.

Minicabs seem to be licensed for as many bashes and bumps as you can imagine.

The taped up back lights are one of their favorites.

The appearance of their Minicabs do not get examined as part of their MOT.

Obviously the light cluster would, but as there are no on street inspections by the PCO of Minicabs, how many months do they drive around with the vehicle in that condition?

But thats the other side for you.

Yes, but I can't see why you keep referring to the car's registration?

If it's just the condition that matters, what relevance is its age?

In what state do you see an M reg Astra estate used as a London Minicab?

Now be honest.

I think you can probably get an image in your head. :-k

Well I don't doubt that there a crap cars Mr GBC, but they don't have to be just because of there age, surely?

I'm quite sure there are ten year old cars that are cleaner and better maintained than cars a fraction of their age.

No license until you satisfy them your competant at the Knowledge (complete the course of appearances), pass the DSA Taxi / Wheelchair test, and lastly await the CRB checks.

Then, and only then will you be licensed.

Not the best in the world for nothing you know Dusty.

ltda say ban dont licence miniscabs drivers have nether been any good and things want change overcharge get lost and thats with sat nav cars falling apart no licence no insurance no brains all losers join the ltda smudger
