I'm not so sure that is correct as no points are actually added to your license although the DVLA records your attendance on the course the insurance and LA only require ACTUAL points to be notified

I think you could be in trouble when renewing your badge if you have not told the L/A as it will show on the D.V.L.A. check the Council do and they could rightly claim that you had not declared a speeding offence.

How do you know what the speed limit is on the road you are on... if there are no speed limit signs..

They tell you on the course..that you do not have to inform anybody of having been on the course....

Licensing Have ask me to Provide a copy of the police Letter offering me a speed awareness course And I have to advise them the date and time of my attendance

Private companies I am led to believe provide these courses,do they have the knowledge and factual proof that a TAXI or private hire driver do not need to inform their L/A.
Everyone attending these courses will probably be just a driver,not put into any categories of type of driver.

when I went on one of these ...it was run by two ex police inspectors..To Bloody nosy councils at times.

Lamp posts less than 200 yds. apart in built up area 30 mph speed limit.
