shortest newspaper article ever ?

A hackney carriage driver has had his licence suspended for 12 months after police complaints about his driving.

Mr Mohammed Usman Zaman will have to attend a driver training course and pay £2,500 to St Albans District Council.

that's a hefty fine would be interested to know why he is being made to pay that ?

Anyone concerned about the driving of a hackney carriage or private hire driver can notify the Council on 01727 296164.

They will need to provide the taxi plate or vehicle registration number of the vehicle concerned.

I'm not convinced suspending a license for 12 months makes sense.

If the individual is bad enough to be kept away from punters for that long then surely his license should have been revoked. :-k

I think 12 months is effectively a revocation how is he going to earn a living now ?
