There is a taxi website I came across that has these sort of judgements on.

Oh that's the one, TDO.

Believe it or not I did look before posting, but couldn't find the section, never mind the case-law.

And WTF do you get back to the Home Page from the Forum Page?

Anyway, thanks for the link Mr Sussex.

Probably!

And that's what I initially thought, but my source lists the case-laws seperately as I have written in my question, so I posted as written by my source.

Thank for your input Mr T.

I take it you never use the search function at the top of each page.

Loads of times, but only for finding specific words within posts.

Yeh, I suppose so, . . . . hadn't thought of it in that vein.

I was looking for the case-law section from the Home Page rather than it being posted within the Forum.

Alas JD wasn't about when the latest frontpage was installed.

But thanks to him almost all relevant judgements are on TDO.

I think the only one no-one seems to have is the Computer Cab one from London.

And as I hate the bloody place, I couldn't give a stuff. :D

I thought that was a 'humble' pie you was offering the Captain.

You really hurt him. 8-[

I need the transcript of Regina Ex Parte Maud V Castlepoint Council This was a landmark case and I need it for my Appeal against Calderdale Council for refusal of a 5 Hackney carriage licenses, to be used in their Halifax Licensing district the refusal document has yet to arrive but the minutes say "there is no significant unmet demand" yet the Transport Act circular 3/85 says "Moreover if the applicant for a new taxi license proposed to use it to provide a new service -for instance under section 12 (of the Transport Act) and had reasonable grounds to believe that there would be demand for his service if he provided it , a Council which wished to refuse a license would have to satisfy themselves that demand would not be forthcoming .

The head of the licensing service makes no bones about this issue viability is a question for the applicant. The Solicitor to the Council, however, said there must be a report into unmet demand by a consultant for the committee as the council has no evidence that demand is met. That report has been received at the presentation I was invited to ask him questions I only asked 5 and he requested the Council sends him the questions in writing for reply, This is I'm happy to say was the request of the Councils Expert witness it's going to be fun questioning him in Leeds Crown Court;

So the Council has to prove 2 things in court 1 how they can be satisfied demand is met when Private Hire Vehicles take all the Hailed Trade and the Council have been made aware of much activity of Private Hire Cars picking up from the Councils ranks in Broad Daylight never mind hours of darkness; and 2 They have to prove they are satisfied my proposals put forward complete with routes and after 12 months it's clear the council are happy with the viability issue.

Just to add to the humor the consultant in the report commented that it was sad that the taxis have no radio circuits let me tell readers the Private Hire operators do not run radio links either he's from a long bygone age    The first computerised taxi booking system in Calderdale was run by myself using the early Mercury booking and despatch system now everyone except Halifax Taxis, of course, use various modern booking and dispatch systems.

I phoned Castlepoint Legal department this morning to ask to buy a copy of Maud v Castlepoint Council they told me that they could not sell the judgment because there were personal things in the judgment    How can this landmark case setting principles not be quoted in court? is be especially grateful if someone could tell me which court Maude V Castlepoint Council took part in and I would be grateful for the views of Taxi Driver online Expert on this case my best friend Sussex Man could give me his views on this matter incidentally operating Taxibuses is not new to me.
