Discounting for such a reason is daft, the very people that need an assist type vehicle will more than likely be in receipt of the mobility allowance which is given to them to help with transport.

That's not being fair, they get money off and also additional money towards taxis etc.

Off all fares? our starts only £3.60

You are right but what the fu*k are they thinking in Edinburgh? Everything they do is geared towards running their trade into the ground. It's like they are sitting there thinking "what act of insanity can we come up this week"... #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Welcome to Edinburgh the only City in the Uk where taxi drivers work for free. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Cab assist works great, unlimited usage unlike the Taxi Card, users are making more journeys as a result, nothing wrong with giving those who need a little help a discount, looking after our bread and butter :D

Keep your eye's on the headlines Gary there's more to come

Kind of fighting fire with fire  and the black cab trade has the strongest flame that isn't burning out anytime soon :D

May, June, July, August and so far in September have been really busy, Edinburgh rules :-" :-" :-" :-"

I've no doubt that Dougi (Private Reggie) will think this is a great idea. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Aye Dougie, you must be the only taxi driver in Edinburgh that thinks discounting means you end up making more money and not less. #-o #-o #-o #-o Don't you get it? You are cutting each other's throats. #-o #-o #-o #-o The only person that wins is the punter. #-o #-o #-o #-o You are not UBER or Gett Taxi, far from it, your running costs and the hours you work for what you earn are insane. #-o #-o #-o #-o

I can't disagree, just how did such people create such big companies off the back of such gross stupidity?

Dougie, you have completely lost the plot. #-o #-o #-o #-o You are absolutely bat [edited by admin] crazy if you think these discounts are a good idea. All it means is Taxis being pulled out of the circuit, that are basically working for nothing. Every City Cab driver should be refusing to do these jobs on Health and Safety grounds that way, they might get a job that actually makes them money. #-o #-o #-o

Honestly, how fu8king desperate are Les and Co... #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Soon they'll be paying the punters to get in their cabs... deary me... #-o #-o #-o #-o

Discounting like this is utter madness.

Alright for the firms to come across as Billy Big Bollocks, but it's the mug driver that loses out.

No way I would do that work at that price. [-X

That was back in the day when Cooperatives were run by gentlemen who helped the company for an honorarium and not just to line their own pockets. These idiots on the committees now come from a huge crop of idiots. It's a bit like choosing a committee from a field of turnips. #-o #-o #-o #-o

Dougie(Private Reggie) is not the exception but the rule. #-o #-o #-o #-o

It's hard to believe but I think they are actually getting worse. #-o #-o #-o

A little simple arithmetic and DISCOUNTING LIKE THIS "quote", works just fine, how it works is for me to know and you to work out

Dougie, you are certifiable... discounting has never worked in the past and it won't work now. #-o #-o #-o Things must be getting really desperate for the committees to even come up with this shi*e. #-o #-o #-o Trust me Dougie, this is an act of desperation.
