Hi everyone,

I'm writing for my other half again. He's sleeping!

We're having a few problems with a controller. She's got into a real habit of holding all the jobs, then feeding them to whoever she wishes, rather than letting the computer send the jobs out as it will and being fairer.

Just wondered if there's anything that can be done? Are the office under any obligation to distribute work fairly (As everyone pays the same office bill) or can they really give it to whoever they want? I know some feeding goes on, but £50 on a Saturday night in a minibus is just silly!! :x

Replies appreciated!

Trufs

BTW - Jimbo - PM me and let me know who you drive for - I get taxi's to and from work every day, and you could well take me! If Im being a nosey ****, sorry! x

DataCab, I think. It's supposed to send the work out automatically based on a GPS thingy to the nearest car.

Sorry - It's AutoCab. It's not got a little wheel, but numbers and a screen. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

I think you need to speak to the boss, unless he is screwing the operator.

If he is then you are in a iffy situation.

If not then the boss should act, the only problem is you will get the s*** for months. Maybe it's worth keeping a log of where you think you have been shafted.

Is there anyone else you can work for? Why not get your own operator's license and do your own private work as well?

But if a minibus can only take a bulls-eye on a Saturday, then your best out of it.

Hi
Ok, the first thing is that Autocab do not dispatch the car which is nearest the job. It will dispatch the first car that is plotted in the area. The gps you have is only used as a tool to plot you in/out of zones.

As for opereators slinging work, if they have overridden the automatic dispatch system. In this case it will be logged on the system and the manager/owners can check this up.

Like others have said, you have a choice to make, either confront the manager in a nice way and ask him to check the records or say nothing. Its upto you but they can check on the operators that you think are slinging the work.

happens everywhere.
i think data makes it easier to find out the do9dgy phone girls.
but once you have been shafted on a job you cant get the job back.

Feeding is a problem everywhere, but because of the shortage of LPH if one company tries it on, we can just leave and join another.

Might even try one of the black cab circuits.

Ollie, are the PH as bad as GBC makes them out to be? or is it a case of them not being able to follow rules.

They are, quite simply, the worst examples of a private hire trade you could ever imagine.

Licensing has done little to deter theit Illegal antics and underhand methods.

Come along to London one night and see them in all there glory and weird accents.

Stand at Centrepoint, if your not illegaly touted less than 12 times in 5 minutes I'll take up minicabbing for a week.

Are you thinking of joining their ranks then Mr 187ums?

I don't give out much advice on here, merely offer my opinions, but on this one I can confidently say, DON'T. Image
