I was loading into my car at a Tescos (my car is private hire with no signage), stepped away from the car. a local well-known "poacher" saw me with the customers trolley and shouted "you wantee taxee meester?" (hes of Chinese extraction) to which I replied "no thanks, ive got 1"

That's why I always go shopping at 0700 aisles empty usually little or no queue at checkout :D

That's ok if the shop doesn't do online shopping.

If it does you have dozens of Stepford Wives in uniforms getting in you way.

Quickest way to having no drivers left.

i.e. bankruptcy.

Most of these drivers you are referring too do not have the b**** to leave the operators who do this,most operators do this.
