Picking up benefit claimants with a trolly load of ale and wine. They were seeing the new year in accompanied by their iPhone X and their flat screen TV.

The Supercilious...That thinly veneered Handshaking and Air kissing brigade who seem to think your their best new buddy for one day a year..new Years day, the very same people who on any of the other 364 days of the year would hardly give you a passing glance let alone use your services.

^^Yep, and the regulars who use you once a week to go to bingo half a mile away who think it's a rip-off having to pay extra 'just because it's xmas' and 'us' regulars shouldnt have to pay more !
And the ones who thank you for your speedy service thinking it would be ages on NYE, wish you a happy new year but still dont round the £4.80 fare up to a fiver.

And the benefit ones with their boot full of booze who on a £7 fare want to 'call it a fiver cash for xmas ?'

And the endless 'book a taxi for 1900 even though we'll still be getting ready when you turn up and expect you to wait outside for ten minutes even though its NYE and there's dozens of jobs waiting' brigade. On top of the ones who just phone but are still in the shower because 'it's NYE and we thought youd be at least half an hour'.

And finally the dozens stood outside the pub at closing who no matter how many times you tell them you're booked still go on and on about 'can we get in?'
I'm booked, can you take us, no I'm booked, can you not take us, no I'm booked, go on take us, no I'm booked, why wont you take us, because I'm booked, its only round the corner, no I'm booked, we'll pay double (unlikley), no I'm booked - repeat a dozen times for every single person waiting.

I picked up from the local church who run the food bank, 1 guy with 3 bags of shopping, lives 10 minutes from the foodbank, and the church paid his taxi home... but he was as quick on his feet as I am.....quicker even (not difficult)

Picked up a barman the other day moaning like f*** cos he was charged £2 or £3 quid more on Xmas day.

He was on double pay and received over £60 in tips.

Didn't like the c*** before and now dislike him even more.

The driver who got sacked after 3 crashes at the other firm and has taken 3 months to start again wrecking taxis

Normally youd say cant be his fault but he tried passing a HGV on a motorway slip road and cut it too fine and slapped his anchors on

This applies to some who are not new drivers to the trades.

Like the local guy speaking about a plated car in town.....

"they cant be plated, rules state you cant plate 4wd"

(It was an Audi A6 Quattro)
