Arrow cars wins the private hire concession at Birmingham airport on a long term contract working alongside the black cabs

Arrow cars will be operating a full company fleet of executive business class and 8 passenger vehicles and drivers will be either Solihull or Birmingham badged

They will be building a booking office outside the terminal manned 24 hours a day and will also have self service units strategically placed

Arrow won the contract despite intense competition from local as well as some of the largest national companies

Arrow now operate at 5 airports and have close on 1000 drivers

How does that work then?

Working hand in hand with hackneys?

Sounds a bit like the Edinburgh scenario, so 'working alongside' is PR-speak for 'at each other's throats'.

Who knew?

They'll be more expensive than the HC lads. Arrow drivers are getting milked by the company, they have to pay for their own tyres when renting the car, if they have a holiday they have to pay for the car.

I suspect the real PH alternative at that airport, isn't Arrow.

It's Uber.
