Why can't we have signs (and legislation) like this for our cars?

My passengers phoned to check with Airline ....yes flight will be on time

and hour and a half into journey.............plane stuck in Belguim but should be less than 1 hours delay

half an hour after dropping off...............our flights cancelled can you come back and pick us up

It seems gatwick were not telling the airlines what's going on

they want me to take them back down tomorrow hate to say it but their chances of getting on a flight tomorrow,Saturday Sunday Monday are probably Nil I bet the earliest flight available will be boxing day now

My experience is once the runway is up and running the back log will be cleared withing 24 hours.

But a nightmare, and I'm really lucky I just missed all this mess.

I just hope it's sorted by 01/01/19. :D

Operators telling customers it will be a 30-40 minute wait when we're busy, when in actual fact it'll be no more than 10 minutes - often less.

No cars on screen, customer phones and is told 40 minutes, car then clears nearby and gets job straight away, turns up 2 minutes later only to be told 'you said 40 minutes so we've got another pint in'.

Or you turn up 10 minutes later only to find out they've flagged a street car down or phoned and got someone else beacause they've been told it's a long wait.

The ops have repeatedly been told to say 'we're busy, it might take up to 30 minutes but will probably be there sooner'. Not that it matters because if it does take you 30 mins to get to the job the punter still is'nt ready when you arrive anyway !
