It is cheap!

A licence for voice radio these days cost either £82 or £85 can't remember exactly but it dosen't go on how many cars are on the fleet like it used to. So for 100 cars it would still be £82 per year.

Bill :)

Thanks a lot for that one Bill!

I might be going it alone next year and information like that is very usefull, got most of the other figures sorted out but that one was worrying me.

Cheers m8!

Hi Bill
Sorry but your wrong mate. The price you have quoted is for data licence not voice. I forgot to ask during the week for the complete table of costs. Must remember to do it on Monday.

regards

Whoops!

Sorry if I've given some wrong info there. Course we deal with companies that already have a voice livence and need an extra one for data, therefore I assumed that given that there are plenty of voice frequencies that they would be the same if not cheaper!. Ah well I stand corrected.

Hi Bill,

How come we have a Voice and Data Licence for 25 cars which only costs us £75 a year?

Andy

Is that £75 exactly or £75 12 shillings and 6 pence

I don't know the answer to that or why when I ask my customers they all say they pay £82 for their voice channel? Perhaps everyone's as confused as me. The old licences did say data and voice but these days they recognise the two just don't mix so now there's a licence for each.

Tell you what, this snow stuff is blinking annoying. Makes logging in blinking impossible with the blinking cursor.

Seems I can't do right for doing wrong!

I've looked more deaply into this and my understanding now is that the figures I origionally quoted were for existing licencies but if your making a new application then the following rules apply provided your outside the London congestion zone.

Voice.........Data........Cost
1 - 11..........1-38........£75
12 - 45........39-150......£82
46 - 113.....151-375......£205

So Andy, I think that also answers your question.

Bill :)
