LOL, i wasnt quite sure either what you meant, but i think you meant minicab drivers have horrible road manners and it is linked directly to their sat nav usage.
Well from my personal observations hackney drivers do that also, but without a sat nav,,,they never indicate and are devoid of any road manners at all. In addition they all learn to growl at minicab drivers, i can go on for ever but i respect the nice folk on here who happen to be hackney drivers lol,,,cheers.

Can I ask a question that has been bothering me since I joined here.....

Is there a difference between a "Minicab" and a "Private Hire Car"?

And if so, is the "Private Hire Car" respected a bit more, or are they hated too?

Reason I ask is I'm a Private Hire Car owner/driver - and would just like to know how I'm thought of on this "Taxi" site.

Cheers

Charlie

Hey Charlie, I am a Hack, most of my true friends are Private hire, I know more PH than Hack drivers, I do not trust a lot of the Hacks in my manor, hey I drink coffee at two PH firms and live near some PH drivers, salt of the earth my son

Yes there is a massive difference.

Minicabs were un-licensed un-checked vehicles, being driven by un-licensed un-checked drivers.

Private Hire Cars are the complete opposite, and are checked by the PCO.

Which is why it p***es off so many of the black cab boys, including the idiot xsczc. Even though many LPH now work hand in hand with the London taxi firms.
