Oh please, anything but a link to it.

Let's all say a prayer before we go to bed tonight that it will be up and running by the morning. [-o<

Well it was up, if not running, but now it's down and presumably not running at all :?

There was a link via the site's frontpage (I never realised they had a frontpage until today, but perhaps it was just put up during the present problems), but the link was different to the old forum link, so if anyone was trying to get on via the usual link all they would have seen was a blank screen.

However, although the database seemed to have been restored they seemed to have been having problems, and the link from the frontpage is gone again, so obviously they don't want anyone peeking, but there's now a screen saying 'welcome to phpBB2 installation', so presumably there's still a lot of head scratching going on, or at least Andy P will be, since the rest will be scratching their backsides. :-s

However, although this is the most enthralling thing that's happened to the forum since its inception, I wish them well in getting it back on track again, so that I can thenceforth start ignoring it again [-o<

But just think, if they'd started from scratch again instead of trying to restore the database they would have gotten rid of heaps of crap and ended up with a better forum as well as saving themselves a lot of time and effort :D

I read that offering on their front page, can you shed any light on the reference made about Wayne Casey being the great white leader of the NTA or was that tongue in cheek?

I'm laying odds of even money that within 24 hours of their site being up and running they will have a thread about TDO, Mr T will have copied and pasted at least two posts from this website and they will have written more fiction than fact?

They are sooooooooo predictable, sounds about par for the course.

Regards

JD

One wonders if you would say that should you ever be standing next to him? :?

I think you know the answer to that.

I doubt I would, but I can ran a lot faster than him, so you just never know. :-$

That aside, I think we all know that when brains were being dished out, Nigel was way back on the rank. :D

Apart from having a peep at what's happining now, I never ever visit it.

Which is why there will be no-one more happier than I when the Cartel Kid finally gets his finger out. Image

I think Nidge the author was trying to underline the point that Mr Casey was now in support of quotas - ie had taken the huff and abandoned his principles on that basis :?

If I remember rightly when TDO was attacked by some nasties ( ), the database was unaffected. Maybe they were just lucky.

As far as I could tell they had the database restored and the site up and running last night at the new address, but it's since disappeared.

Or perhaps looks were deceptive, since lack of interest meant that I never looked beyond the forum frontpage, so maybe it wasn't running properly at all.
