I wouldn't normally reply to the whole "anti private hire" minority on here but...

It wasn't a dig at the site guys - I actually respect the forum, and especially the site owner/mods/admin for the crap you take from certain members - it was just a dig at the ignorant, keyboard gangster style attitude of certain "superior" Hackney drivers - I feel the attitude displayed to PH is shocking on here, and why? - a few bad apples make us all rotton? I think, sorry I KNOW there is bad on all sides guys!

@xsczc - I'm sorry, I didn't realise we all had to be "proper blackcab driver" like you on here - here's me thinking I had a choice to either A) Be like you and THINK I'm god, moan, bitch, look down my nose, and basicly disrespect guy's because of the choice of job they do, or B) Be a fully vetted, insured and licensed Private Hire driver and respect all others connected to the job I do - and not judge simply because of the kind licence I hold.

I know may Hackney driver's here in Glasgow - most are brand new, but there are a few who think women shouldn't vote either

Newsflash here, some Hackney driver's may well think even Licensed Private Hire drivers are scum - but do you think we go about life everyday worrying and thinking of ways to put you guys down at every opertunity on a public forum?

I agree, there are many on both sides who are not that nice, to put it mildly.

But I'm pretty certain that those chaps that started this forum are neither anti PH or anti taxi.

Although one does have a slight stance towards the PH section.

its all the more surpriseing when you think that most hack drivers diwn here have also driven ph.
but some drivers are so gulible that they believe anythink the unions tell them. so the uniion man says ph are scum. and the goons all nod in reply.

also a lot of the taxi owners hate ph drivers because they want them to be driving there cars.

My own answer to the so called question. I have had my green badge for a long time as many on here know. 43 years for those that dont.
It took me 15 months to get that badge. For Ollie, I weigh 11 stone 5'7" and at my age fitter than some 30 year olds so my doctor tells me. (I cycle whenever I can).
So these Miniscabs (as we called them then) come on the scene and do the same as me. Of course I am p***ed off.
Now that many of them are licensed, they do all the cream jobs. and I and my lot get to do the little cr*p jobs.
Almost every hotel in London have them 'Booked' for the good jobs.
Why? because they are organised. The LTDA do F all. except put up posters and slag the other trade organisations off.
The final nail now is that the other Green and Yellow badge holders do not have a choice of vehicle. But will still have to buy the junk that LTI dish out.
