I have just been reading the latest Government regulation for face coverings etc in England and at last we get a mention................................in the exemptions.

This requirement does not apply to:

school transport services
taxi or private hire vehicles – although a taxi driver or private hire vehicle operator may be able to refuse to accept passengers if they do not wear a face covering
cruise ships
outdoor areas of transport hubs
non-public areas of transport hubs – for example, office space
business which are exempt from the face covering regulations in transport hubs – for example, bingo halls

Interesting.

Maybe physical safety of punters trumps medical safety of punters i.e. ensuring the driver is the fella who's picture is on the badge, not some mush with a mask on his face.

Some good news there then.

So instead of being told what to do, I can make a judgment call, because I’m a big boy now? Excellent.

Mrs jimbo went to the opticians yesterday, where during examination she was asked to remove her face mask, because she was steaming up the lenses of the test equipment!
You couldn’t make it up, and I haven’t.

That is one of the exemptions. My opticians explained that to me before I went into the examination.

Shame the MP's don't read this before criticising drivers !
