So I took delivery of two brand new LEVC taxis today. I know people will think I must be insane, but a combination of good fortune with a hefty lottery win, and a big discount on the asking price, made my mind up for me. Looking forward to showing them off after Easter on the rank.

If I had won the lottery I certainly wouldn't be buying a new vehicle I would be planning my exit from the trade and a nice long holiday.

However It's Jimbos' money and he can spend it how he wants and clearly he loves the job so much he wants to carry on till he's in his box and why not if it's in his blood

Lincoln central and st marks station 1950’s. But don’t tell anyone in Stamford. I don’t want any of your young hooligans coming up here and mindlessly destroying it.

we have plenty of hills in Lincolnshire and a few flat bits

Oddly the only time I have been to Lincoln by train was to St Marks station on a Swindon 120 unit in the early 70's but I think your EV's might be a bit out of place surely 1950's would be FX3's or Beardmores at the rank ?
