Can't recall looking at that at the time, but the tariff card reads like the flag is £1.70, and that covers the first mile, and thereafter the running mile is £1.80.

So the fare is £1.70 for up to a mile?

Got the impression previously that you were saying the running mile started immediately, so a one mile run would clock £3.50...

Correct and 2 miles is £5.30

So the tariff card is wrong, or you don't actually follow the council's tariff at all?

Just as an update SKDC has now decided NOT to revise the default rate stating that it's now up to proprietors to set their own rates

In other words they want all the taxis on the rank to be on differing rates which is what the public don't want

quite sure people hate not knowing what the meter starts on or their journey being a very different price each time they much prefer all the taxis to be the same

If your council doesn't give a f*** then neither should you.

Up your rates to reflect the cost of running a taxi in 2021 rather than 2011.

Remember Uber charges up to 300% more at times. Anyone moans remind them of that.
