This is mainly about Sarah Everard and women's safety etc, rather than the trade angle. But the article leads with an incident 13 years ago when a girl got into a booked 'taxi', the driver said he had to visit his home en route, and she said she thought she was going to be abducted.

Seems it was all perfectly innocent, but I can see how the girl would have been alarmed. And very naive of the driver, but suspect he just took the opportunity when near to his home to pick something up, have a leak, or whatever

So 13 years ago a girl was taken to her destination via the driver's home, and now it's headline news.

Maybe he was dying for a poo, or he needed his medication.
