I'm trying to pitch my Price per Passenger mile price to reflect the new fuel costs on both my 4 Seater and 8 seater PH's but I'm struggling to find a fair price.

I curently base my charges on the assumption that fuel normally accounts for around 1/5th of my fare price then add a £2.00 call out fee.

But If I apply this rule to fuel at say £2.00 per litre then it adds around £2 on a 10 mile Fare (20 miles round trip) on my Saloon and £2.75 to a fare in an 8 seater.

Do you consider £22.00 and £27.50 respectively to be a fair fare for a 10 mile Fare (20 mile Trip).

What would you guys be charging for a 10 Mile Fare, would I overcharging or undercharging?

Our day rate is about £27.00 for a 4 seat vehicle and £40.50 for an 8 seater.
Our 8 seat price is 1.5 times the 4 seat price in the daytime. lets face it the alternative would be 2 cars at £27.00.

Hi Grandad, very true about two 4 seaters.. thanks for that, is that for a 10 Mile Fare (20 Mile Round Trip) and as it that your revised price for the current cost of fuel?

Hi, Yes this is our price for a 10 mile fare based on our price increase that we implemented earlier this week.
