Suspect there's a few important facts and details missing here...

Woman refuses to go out alone after taxi driver 'screams' at her to get in cab

The frightening incident happened in Victoria Road, Fenton

A mum has been left terrified after claiming a taxi driver 'screamed at her' to get in his cab. Kass Brownfield says the incident happened last Sunday (March 27) in Victoria Road, Fenton.

But she is still waiting for police to come out and see her. They initially said they would visit her on the Monday morning, but had still not been four days after the incident.

Recalling what happened, Kass, aged 27, said: "I was walking back home and he pulled up alongside me and told me to get in the car. It was scary.

"I just want to warn the public about it. The police still haven't been out to see me. It was a taxi driver and he was screaming at me to get in the car."

Kass was walking back from Asda in Victoria Road at around 10pm. The taxi belonged to a popular local company.

She added: "My phone had died, so I began to run home. As soon as I got home, I rang the police.

"It lasted about five minutes. We want to let other people know, not just women but vulnerable men too.

"I just want to warn the public to be careful when getting in taxis. I do believe the taxi company needs to be checked properly."

Kass lives just around the corner from the Asda, and will now no longer go out without her 30-year-old partner Daz Brownfield and someone else.

Daz said: "She normally goes out a lot. We don't drive, so if we go anywhere further, we use public transport.

"We won't be using taxis anymore." The taxi company declined to comment.

I think they've probably decided it's a waste of their time as nothing much happened really

So this lady is telling other ladies that if a cab driver screams at them to get into their cabs, then they shouldn't.

Very helpful advice. :-s

I generally assume 'taxis' in such articles working for a 'popular local company' (or whatever) are PHVs unless there's evidence to the contrary.

Ok, I will rephrase that then.
