not done any steam visits since pre-covid, Statfold NG is nearest, very good but post-covid ticket prices doubled so, as a pensioner.....didnt go

Seriously though there have been multiple attempts to sort out issues with that section of road over the last few years and each attempt seems to fail. The next big one will be upgrading the A47 between the A1 and Sutton and that will be about 5 years of disruption on both the A1 and A47

HS2 works here have gotten the A38 down to a 40 from Lichfield to Burton, people STILL manage to turn cars over and cause chaos in surtrounding villages with diverted traffic

we were able to ignore slow punctures to a limited extent but these modern pressure sensors can be an absolute pain
