recently setup this system in warrington so far so good got 10 drivers on it and the people we are picking up think its great although we did struggle with a few job canelations but we deal with this by setting the systems repeat call option to 1 hour and after that what we do is give the punter our plate numbers on booking so if they cancel and get another driver they tell us what plate number they were given and we then pass it on to the corsponding driver simple granted the system isn't flawless but anything that helps bring some more work in is all good in my book and im told that they have a zoning feature in testing and soon to be released which is even better

So it is now getting on for three years since I set up "Taxi-call" in Lincoln.

And I suppose you are all wondering how it all goes.

Well, for me and the other members, it goes rather well.

But why do I only have eight members? Baffling.

There are two things that are beyond doubt.

1. There is not enough work from the Station/Ranks.

2. The circuit is turning down about 30% of the incoming calls it gets.
(not cherry picking, just rejecting calls, or logged out of the system due to being out of town)

Even though it only costs £5 a week to be on the system, drivers still decline to join for reasons, (if they can be reasonably called reasons) such as, "I don't want to do PH work" which would be funny, if it was not so tragic, because PH want to do Hack work. Or another, "I don't like going into pubs for punters" (call back covers it).

My own conclusion is they are just bone flipping idle, and treat the rank as a social club, where they can chew the fat, and most of the tossers have plenty to chew. Useless, the lot of 'em. Dinosaurs, and we know what happened to them.

When was there ever any rational as to what happens in the taxi trade? :?

But I'm pleased you are doing well.
