I have spoken to Alan on a number of occasions. It’s a shame really Alan is nothing short of a robot pre-programmed by society and the trade. His social conditioning renders he and others unable to deal with or accept any change therefore his only recourse is to oppose it. I have no doubt Alan would like to think he and the rest of the robots have some control. Unfortunately for the likes of Alan and Co responsibility and accountability means handing control over to the council. Taking control is about giving it away. A bit like being beaten by an abusive father or husband. You will tolerate the beatings rather than face the possibility of taking control and face the unknown changes this may bring.
When faced with the truth their argument is about trying convincing others that everything is not that bad and that we are to blame for pointing out the abuse. In this case their lack of control over their so called businesses. Just like a child or spouse defends or covers-up the bruises by denying anything was wrong or by taking the blame for themselves.
In short people are controlled by what they perceive can be taken away. The minute you think you have something to lose. They control you by your own perceptions off loss given to you by them. Taking control is about reversing the relationship their perceived gain or control comes about by giving you what you require as a benefit not what you perceive as a loss.
Cgull, do you precive loss or gain by what you read here and to who?
