I will admit that there are about five or six drivers out of a total of 350 who do nothing but complain about everything and anything

one day it was about five or six with the hump.

Cgull 58 letters of complaints is actually 51 signatures to call an Extraordinary General Meeting to discuss one subject only about the Evo.

the next day it was 51.
so the real drivers on the ranks.yes the owners are telling the truth.
but the pen pusher in the office is telling a big fib.
no wonder scanner can be found on thne liars site. :^o

Andy,

Thanks for your swift reply, I do not know who cgull is, or if he is on our company. What I do know, is that we have had our fair share of problems with evo. However, I believe that the introduction of evo (after the initial problems) has improved our companys delivery of service, profile and service to our customers the drivers. That is my opinion and my opinion alone. The point I was trying to get across to you was that it is not good mannners to verbally criticise another company because you think someone on that company is having a pop at you. Remeber this old saying, "A SUCCCESSFUL PERSON...IS ONE WHO CAN LAY A FIRM FOUNDATION...WITH THE BRICKS THAT OTHERS THROW AT HIM OR HER.

I agree Mr BB, the chap Scanner has spent a lot of time telling other folk to keep their hooters out of his business, yet he want to stick his into yours.

I think the best thing for you to do is to simply tell him to f*** off.

However, I believe that the introduction of evo (after the initial problems) has improved our companys delivery of service, profile and service to our customers the drivers. Point taken...however Cgull is definately on your company (running a fiat or euro style cab with recently issued plate) and for some reason revelled in running to forum with your initial problems with Evo and regards whoever bought it as being an idiot (being AC) "designed by idiots to be bought by idiots " What he thinks he is gaining by betraying you is beyond me....but then again that is a problem for yourselves. What does amaze me is that someone like cgull is permitted to betray you in such a way yet continues to work with you.

I have no issues at all with Evo on your company and have never discussed the matter. You are aware that I purposely created a specific forum exclusively for the users of all Evo users in the uk to discuss any areas that can be improved on.

Just keep in mind that at every opportunity he has a dig at me and a swipe at my company and I have no idea why this is so. Apart from the fact that he thinks he popular in with a mob who runs a forum. So I defend my right to give comments back. Please feel free to contact me via email (see company website) should you wish to discuss the matter further as I truely believe that this cgull is just a trouble maker. Or perhaps you can come over to the other forum which will save GBC pasting this.

Now then Cgul.. as I have to almost spell it out to you. There is only ONE aspect of Evo that concerned the fleet, which was the three minute log out time.. which I regard as being pretty good! We have not had any comments about any other aspect.

There was a request to drop the three minute delay "or" call a meeting to discuss it. We decided to drop the delay "and" call a meeting. This is all about democracy and also to imrpove our service to the public. We will also take the oportunity to give more information on the slight change of the zones and an update on the new data-heads.

And Sussex, as you have poked your nose in again about a subject you know nothing about, the meeting is mainly to discuss the problem of a few too many drivers handing back the short jobs, which is why we had the three minute log out. So instead of ruling with an iron rod, and being as the asscoication is democratic, we will discuss the matter amongst ourselves. Hopefully, the majority of drivers who cover the work will shame those that dont. The meeting will probably take an hour in the afternoon for the full members.[/quote]

I think it just shows what little confidence the real drivers have with the pen pushers.

But is it nice to know that as you are not allowed to make minor changes to the data systems without asking everyone, the owners on your mob have the same opinion of you as do I.

I can't see whats the problem drivers handing back jobs, but why send them back. People approach the cabs on the rank are not always going to give you a large fare, or is it because the pick up is more than 100 meters from the rank they send it back.

Theres always a driver behine them in q would take the jobs, beats sitting around for 40mins for a job,

But i must say the no job 3min no log on thing .. does not work for all

example, saturday night after i told the operater it was a no show, the operater phone the customer up but got a anwser phone. told me to *72 or *d on the unit, which its a command for no job on the units.

now heres the funny part :

it wouldn't let me ..because of this 3min thing .. even when you are told by a operater , so i have to wait for the timer to run out :?

so theres a lots of things to sort out with this option ..

i am ph on there ...
its a good firm , bc its runs by the members .. not just by one guy

Mr MS,
The problem for the company with drivers handing jobs back is simple, customer will ask how long for a cab, the office will reply after looking at dispatch screen to ascertain if there is a car in the area, if the driver gives job back and no other car in area, poss lost customer. I hope your full members do away with the 3 min log off, it can only do our company a favour.
I don't know how your evo is set up, on our company the no job and 3 min log out are seperate, I can only persume you put your meter on which told the system you had picked up and therefore could not book a no job.
The only answer is for your operator to over ride the system and manually log you back on.
Did you not get a Evo drivers info pack?

Andy P,
I agree you have the write to defend yourself from cgull, please do not attack our company in the process. Whether he is on our company, again I do not know. I have my suspicians who cgull is, but I am not really that interested in cgull, I do think you are way off the mark with your ideas who he/she is. What I cannot understand is why it bothers you so much. Yes cgull had a pop at us when we installed Evo, it was bad for a while and he had a right to moan. However our company is committed to Evo and we have worked hard to understand and improve the system for all of our company members. We can only do our best, as long as we do that, and listen to other peoples opinions and then choose the best one for the majority of people, we will be succcessful.
Do what your good at Andy and stop wasting your time interacting and searching for a ghost called cgull.
What other site?

Our's is set so you get a 5min penalty if you put a no job in before the booked time.
We cant now refuse any cash jobs (in the area your plotted, there are ways of getting around it of course). But loads refuse account work all the time because its a drivers choice if he does them or not. But some account worth is worh a few bob, so it's best to take the rough with the smooth.
Your lucky to have base staff who look at the screens first! Some of our's dont bother!

Lighten up Sussex, we're talking about Taxi forums here, not the next meeting of your licensing commitee.

Forums have little impact on real life.
