Another wee rabbit hole
Saw this on the Bolton New site, and despite it sounding quite official ('spokesperson'), it read more like something that would be posted on Twitter/X rather than from a 'comms' department press release. So thought it just as well just to post the photo and tweet in that other thread about the drunk driving taxi drivers, rather than rehash the press, er, rehash.
But after scouring various social media accounts, couldn't find the photo or tweet.
So looked at the Manchester Evening News rehash, and it did specifically say it was a GMP Traffic post on X
Which was one of the social media accounts I'd looked at for the photo. So I'd guess it's maybe been deleted for legal reasons, or similar. So back to the MEN rehash. About, er, not very much in the grand scheme of things. But at least it wasn't me
Although, to be fair, the MEN rehash is pretty succinct, instead of repeating the same thing over and over...

Police say the cabbie was taking passengers home after a night out when they ploughed through a crash barrier into the sign on the motorway into Bolton last night. GMP Traffic said the driver was arrested at the scene after blowing twice the drink limit.
GMP Traffic posted on X: "You've had a great night out, book a Taxi, expect a safe ride home, When a pesky fixed road sign jumps out on the Taxi causing a crash!
"@gmptraffic arrived on scene, arrested the Taxi driver, who blew over twice the limit at roadside ! Totally Uber-lievable!"
