Wirral woman in court for racially motivated attack on taxi driverA WIRRAL woman has admitted a string of racially aggravated offences following an incident in which she spat in and damaged a taxi.Appearing at Wirral Magistrates Court, Amy Williams, 28, pleaded guilty to two charges of racially aggravated criminal damage, racially aggravated intentional harassment / alarm / distress and racially aggravated common assault / beating.
The offences all took place on October 2 2024 on Well Lane, Tranmere.
The court heard Williams damaged a taxi by spitting in it and caused further damage by kicking the vehicle's door causing the door to no longer close properly.
She also assaulted the taxi driver, Vaidas Dzimidas, with the offence found to be racially aggravated within the terms of section 28 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
Williams, of Dell Court, Prenton, was fined £120 and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
She was also handed a community order with a requirement to undergo 12 months of alcohol treatment and undertake 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
