we'll see what the draw is but there's always one club which seems to defy all odds and keep winning all the way through to the final and I have a feeling this year it's Brighton.

I'm tempting fate here but I'd love to see a Brighton Forest final

as for my lot at home to a lower table club 0-0 at half time so manager takes a full back and centre back off to put more attacker on the field. 10 minutes into second half we are 2-0 down we did pull it back to 2-2 with out new signing Kai Tonge (he scored for Harborough against reading in FA cup) and Hobbins curled one into the top corner late on. Serious miscalculation by our manager methinks

what a weird season no team in our division can put together a string of results so having won tuesday night and today away at Barwell we are still in 7th place just outside the playoffs but only 5 points off the league leaders despite having lost 11 games this season  and even the league leaders have lost 10 !

It'll never be built way too ambitiious. Even if it is I doubt the increased gate receipts would cover the debt after all it would be getting on for double the cost of rebuilding wembley

well I think it's smiles all round today except for CC.

I think the prospect of non league football is starting to loom large for carlisle.

Temporarily into the playoffs for us but we've played more games than the other teams around and are away at the team that has been leading the league for more weeks than any other. They beat us at home but if we can come away with something at their ground we might have an outside chance of making the playoffs.

congratulations to Newcastle although I find it hard to believe a big club like that has gone 70 years without a major trophy !

I know it shouldn't be the case, but top top footballers want to play in London, Manchester or Liverpool.

it's always been the case because of the better quality of nightlife although Newcastle is supposed to be quite a lively city it's not renowned as being a great place to pick up a trophy wag.

so after last weeks poor performance we were home to kettering town today and it seemed it wasn't our day after conceding a poor goal (scored by their peterborough utd loanee) it was mostly us dominating but neither luck nor the referee was on our side until 6 minutes into injury time and we scrambled home an equaliser. So down to 7th now with 8 points seperating the top 7. At least we were one of 3 games getting over 1000 through the turnstiles and the highest crowd with 1237 (mostly opposition supporters). But it's a very tough run in with 5 of the top 8 featuring in our last 8 games.

Got home in time for the end of the first half of the FA cup game then spent the second half trying to stay awake then finally after 110 minutes a goalie actually made a save ! I wonder if the two team captains had a coffee together before the game and agreed as it was a hard season just to have a kick about and settle it on penalties. TV had lots of time for crowd shots Were you one of the fans waving Sussex ?

elsewhere Jimbo's Imps are handily placed only 12 points off the playoffs and CC's carlisle are getting ever nearer to their goal of playing non league football

so tomorrow hopefully Villa and Bournemouth will give us a refreshingly different lineup to the semis

so lets jinx it by predicting Forest vs Villa and Cristal Palace vs Bournemouth
