Councillors were told six drivers, 30 vehicles and two taxi operators have had their licences either suspended, refused or revoked during the time frame.
Of the six drivers, three had their licence suspended, two had theirs refused, and one was revoked.
A spokesperson HDC said it wanted the public to feel "confident" that hackney carriages and private hires are "safe".
All of the incidents occurred between October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
The reasons behind the suspension include an overdue medical assessment, failing to have an up-to-date DBS, being unable to contact and do a six month check, and getting into a road traffic collision.
The refusals were because of driver convictions and a late renewal, and the licence being revoked was under the "fit and proper" regulation.
In the three-month time span, the council took action against 14 vehicle licences.
10 were suspended over three counts of dangerous defects, having no insurance, and six counts of accident damage.
Three were refused over being used out of the area, failing to meet Euro 6 and being Category S (damaged or unrepairable).
In October 2024, a private hire operator had their licence suspended as they were unable to be contacted and failed to provide information to the council.
Since the start of 2025, 16 vehicle licences and one private operator licence have been either suspended, refused or revoked.
Of the 16 vehicle licences, 12 were suspended, two were refused and two revoked.
The suspensions were a result of four vehicles having dangerous defects, six having major defects, and two having accident damage.
Both the refused and revoked licences were a result of vehicles being in a breach of conditions.
As with the private hire operator, whose licence was revoked in January 2025 over a breach of conditions.
Huntingdonshire District Council has the authority to issue Penalty Points to drivers, with the aim to crack down on the action it must take.
A spokesperson for the council said: "The safety of vehicles and the ‘fit and proper’ status of drivers and operators is of the utmost importance to us.
"Our licensing team works hard to ensure high standards are maintained through regular checks, inspections, and robust action where needed.
"We want the public to feel confident that licensed drivers and vehicles in our district are safe and properly regulated – something that matters for the thousands of journeys taken across Huntingdonshire every year."
