It would be interesting to do a little comparison of councils who are ant the England flag

Brighton apparently pride flags are welcome but St Georges crosses aren't unles an England Womens team are playing
Birmingham britains dirtiest city but anti trying to brighten it up
Tower hamlets say no more

but Nottingham has put a massive England flag up in the main square =D>

I'm sure there are more so lets name and shame them

Councils and councillors that get involved in the flag sagas are quite simply thick as pigs poo.

Just let things go without sticking your political noses in it.

All that happens is those putting the flags up end up putting more up.

Hopefully the message is getting across that there are many britains who won't accept the idea that multiculturalism means suppressing britishness

although you tube videos are appearing of nutters going round pulling them down (nothing to do with councils)

As I see it, it is not the flags that are the problem but some of the places they are being put.
Apart from it being illegal to put anything on a lampost that shouldn't be there, I have seen flags on lamposts that are covering road traffic signs. Now to me that is wrong. The same as painting red crosses on the white lines at give way junctions. I wonder if it will be a defence to say that you were not aware that the junction was give way because of the defaced lines?

Saint George, the patron saint of mini-roundabouts.

I was brought up to respect the Union flag, serve the queen etc in the Boy Scouts. Since the flag has been hijacked by the right wing racists, my respect for it has diminished. and the fact that the misguided eejits who put them everywhere don't realise St.George was Turkish and the flags are all made in China. It's embarrassing to be seen flying the Union flag abroad, it seems to indicate national stupidity. and as for thos who dangle them from road bridges over railways, especially those with 25kv power lines, that stuff doesn't take prisoners, it kills.

That's a view.

When I see the flag of St George, I think of England; when I see the Union flag, I think of GB & NI.

I never see a right-wing emblem.
