Six people have been arrested following the robbery of a taxi driver in Huddersfield.

West Yorkshire Police were called at 4.10am on Saturday, October 18, to a report of an injured taxi driver in Market Street, Milnsbridge. The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment for what police described as "significant facial injuries".

It is understood that Greenway in Milnsbridge was cordoned off by police on Saturday as they investigated the robbery.

Five women, aged 20, 21, 25, 27 and 30, and a 17-year-old boy have all been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have been interviewed and released on conditional bail.
