Got an ATF leak at the radiator cooling lines (the gearbox is AOK despite the recent overfill). Garage suggests adding a separate radiator for the gearbox –

and moving the gearbox cooling lines to run through it instead.

Anyone got experience of/thoughts about this plan?

Never known a gearbox to have it's own radiator.

But if it does the job then it will be worth every penny.

It also looks very easy to maintain.

Needs must - repairing the original setup (through the engine radiator) was impractical, since parts weren't available anywhere.

ATF diverted to the new cooler only, so yes easier to maintain. And fewer points of failure I suppose. The TX has plenty of others to keep me amused.
